We really hope that you are healthy and well and that you’re able to explore ways to carry on with your Children’s Focusing work in person, or online.

As you may know, a few years ago, the three of us – Laura Bavalics, Joke van Hoeck and René Veugelers – became the ‘temporary’  members of the Children’s Focusing Advisory Group.

We have regular contact with The International Focusing Institute and think together with Catherine about issues regarding Children’s Focusing.

We worked on the website, organized events, and hosted conversations within the Children’s Focusing community, more recently we helped to launch the Children & Focusing Round Tables.

As a new development TIFI has the plan to organize the next online International Children & Focusing Conference in collaboration with us.

We are delighted to extend an invitation to submit a proposal to run a live presentation or workshop at the upcoming online International Children & Focusing Conference.

Our goal is to highlight the diversity and creativity in our Children’s Focusing Community, by exploring the many ways we can support children and each other through Focusing and connections.

You can apply to teach a two-hour workshop or host a one-hour presentation.

We welcome proposals that are either lecture-oriented or more experiential or which combine the two. Please organize the time that works best for your teaching style.

The schedule’s timetable is from 9 am till 10 pm CET, so participants from many different countries (from different time zones) could be involved and be able to attend.


*What we need if you are interested:*

A title and 100-word statement describing the presentation/ workshop.
Two or three points state what people will be learning in the workshop
(“the takeaways”).
Two-sentence bio and photo.

Studenten, lesgevers, geïnteresseerde, … focusing Internationaal wil je graag leren kennen.

Dear Coordinators, Coordinators-in-Training and Focusing Trainers,

We are writing to you on behalf of the Membership Committee which has been working on a new Project called Hello Hello. We would like to have your help to reach students or people you know who are in contact with Focusing and are not yet members of TIFI.

The idea of Hello Hello is to connect with those people that know Focusing, maybe just having their first steps in their training or practicing it for a while, but who are alone and looking to join our international community. The project is about reaching out and knowing the people that are out there. We really want to hear from them, what they are doing, how they found Focusing and what matters to them.

We would like to ask you to help us to spread the invitation to whom you think could be interested. Attached are the flyers of our very first meeting that is going to be held in Spanish, English and German on Zoom.

We are looking forward to meeting new people. This is really important to us, to hear how Focusing is spreading around the world and please, if you have any question or issue you might like us to hear about, contact us by email to membership@focusing.org.

Uitwisselingsdag Focusing

De uitwisselingsdag gaat door in Bierbeek, vzw CambiArte, Hoogstraat 54.
Je kan toekomen vanaf 9u30. Onder begeleiding van Gerd Parquin starten we stipt om 10u met een aankomoefening. We nemen ruim de tijd in de voormiddag om toe te komen en tijd te nemen om te luisteren naar onszelf en naar de anderen. Diep te luisteren, een vaardigheid die ons eigen is en zo waardevol, zeker nu in deze tijden.
Op de middag genieten we van een broodmaaltijd, babbelen bij of maken een wandeling.
In de namiddag verruimen we onze blik en kijken naar de linken die er zijn tussen Focusing en Deep Democracy. Lies Van Cleynenbreugel heeft met beide ervaring en neemt ons mee in haar verhaal. Om 16u sluiten we de dag samen af.
We vragen een democratische bijdrage van € 20 te betalen op rekening BE96 3770 7675 2905 (Focusing Vlaanderen – Gerd Parquin)
